MICRO-DERMABRASION (Skin Resurfacing, Anti Ageing)

Microdermabrasion is an intensive exfoliation treatment which is used for skin conditions such as ageing, open and clogged pores, fine lines and wrinkles, pigmentation, scarring and thickened skin.

Microdermabrasion can also be help for tired sluggish skin that just needs a pick me up. It is also used to aid in re- occurring conditions such as rosacea and eczema.

A Diamond Head disk is suctioned across the skin in order to exfoliate the layers of dead skin cells in the epidermis, the suction also stimulates cellular growth in the dermis which encourages the production of collagen and elastin.

What is Micro Dermabrasion?

It can also be used to aid reoccurring conditions such as Rosacea and Eczema.

A varied jet of crystals (known as Corundum Powder) is suctioned across the skin in order to exfoliate the layers of dead skin cells in the Epidermis. The suction and abrasive action also stimulates cellular growth in the Dermis, thus encouraging the production of Collagen and Elastin, two very important factors in a smooth, firm and healthy skin.

The advantages of Micro Dermabrasion over the other types of skin resurfacing treatments such as chemical peel or Laser Resurfacing is that no 'down time' is experienced by the client. There is almost no risk of increasing pigmentation as can happen with other types of peels and Laser treatments, which means Micro Dermabrasion can be performed on any skin age, type and colour.
